After winning the David Yurman Endowed Scholarship for Jewelry Design, I wanted to create some designs inspired by David Yurman and their story.
I was inspired by Mr. Yurman background in Direct Welding, since welding and plasma cutting was how I also started working with metal and got started with jewelry.
I took one of Mr. Yurman's sculptures and turned it into a high jewelry earing. You can see my entire process from the moodboard, sketches, and gully rendered piece in gouache.
Next you will see some ring designs and a jewelry box to go with them rendered in colored pencil.
